Simple actions to protect your account(s) from fraud

Create a strong personal code for your Britline bank account(s)

Follow these 5 recommendations for a strong 6-digit personal code:

  • Create a personal code that will only be used to access your Credit Agricole account(s).
  • Avoid codes that can be linked to you (e.g. date of birth)
  • Never give your code to a third party, including your bank advisor - we will never ask for it under any circumstances. 
  • Change your code frequently. 
  • Memorise your code and never save it anywhere (yes, you need to destroy this notebook with your banking codes 😉) 
     

Enable Two-Factor Authentication 

It provides an additional level of security for your online transactions (payments, transfers, new beneficiaries etc.) and for accessing your account online. 

How to activate the Two-Factor Authentication?
You are only able to activate SécuriPass(1) within the Ma Banque app(2). Any other method of activation should be considered as potential fraud and you should contact us immediately. 

  1. Once you have installed the Ma Banque app (you will need your 11-digit account number and your 6-digit personal access code that you use to log in online), click on “Activate SécuriPass”. 
  2. You will then have 5 minutes to activate SécuriPass by clicking the link you will receive as a text message to the mobile telephone number we have registered on our system.
  3. Create your 4-digit SécuriPass code and confirm it.
  4. Click on “Activate Notifications” and then Authorise.
  5. Accept or Refuse Cookies.
  6. Accept the General Terms & Conditions.

You have now an additional level of security thanks to SécuriPass!

Check your existing account package

You may not remember how you are protected in case of fraudulent transactions on your Britline account(s) and it is totally comprehensible. Your existing account package may not offer the level of cover you want or need to protect you from fraud.
