Validating an online payment using SécuriPass

To protect your account, most online payments are subject to double authentication, also known as strong authentication. Once you have entered your CA card details on the shopping website, you will need to validate your online payment with a code.

4 easy steps to validate your online payment with SécuriPass(1):

  • Click on the notification that appeared on your smartphone.
  • Check the details of the transaction: amount, merchant website, date and time.
  • If you recognise the transaction, click on “Confirm the payment”. If you do not recognise the transaction, click on «Refuse the payment ».
  • Enter your 4-digit SécuriPass code (or use the biometrics or the Facial Recognition System of your smartphone).

And that’s it! Your online purchase has been confirmed.

Do not forget to go back to the shopping website (or shopping app) to finalise your transaction.

Our tips to protect your money

It is important to make sure that the website you are using to make a payment is secured. For example, there should be a padlock symbol before the website address and the website address should start with “https”. If you are in any doubt, do not proceed with the transaction.

Although online fraud is also a sad fact of life today, there are plenty of things you can do to prevent it – and to protect your money.
