Checking or modifying your card limits
It is possible to manage your bank card in the Ma Banque App and in your online banking.
To do this via your online banking, log on using your 11-digit account number and 6-digit personal access code.
Once connected, select “Gérer ma carte”. This can be found under “Mes opérations” and then “Mes moyens de paiement”. It is also one of the shortcuts on the right-hand side, just below your name.
When using Ma Banque, select “Manage my credit cards”.
Your card details will appear and you can select the card that you wish to manage. You will be able to see your card limits under “Mes plafonds” as well as how much of the limit you have used.
There is a “Plafond de paiement”, which is the maximum that you may spend on a monthly basis.
The “Plafond de retrait”, is the maximum that you may withdraw in cash over a 7-day period.
If you need to increase your card limits, this can be done on a temporary basis until the end of the current month. To do this, click on “Augmenter mes plafonds” and then “Valider” to accept the new card limits that are automatically proposed.
For larger or permanent modifications, you will need to speak to a Britline advisor.
Good to know:
Under “Gérer ma Carte”, you can also activate and de-activate the following options:
- “Paiement sans contact” – contactless payments
- “Paiement à distance” – distance payments (e.g. Internet, telephone…)
- “Operations à l’étranger” – payments and cash withdrawals outside France
