Exchanging currency

1. Let us know what currency you want to send 

To begin the process of sending money to your CA Britline account from the UK, or for sending funds from France back to the UK, you’ll simply need to confirm: 

  1. Your starting currency (the currency you have)
  2. Your target currency
  3. The amount you want to send
  4. Where you want to send the funds

Once you’ve provided this information, we’ll provide you with the live exchange rate for that currency pair.

2. Enter your recipient's details 

It doesn’t matter if you’re sending money to your own account, family or to any external party. We just need to know where you want to send your money.  

If you’re sending money to your CA Britline account, all of the details you need will be displayed on your RIB (Relevé d’Identité Bancaire), which will have been provided to you by CA Britline or can also be found on your online banking service.

3. Pay for your money transfer

There are a couple of ways you can pay for your money transfer:

  1. Credit card or debit card – Please note that payments are limited to £30,000 or currency equivalent per payment.
  2. Bank transfer (no limit) – Receiving bank details will be provided with your reference number once you have confirmed your transaction.

4. Confirm your transaction

Before you confirm your transaction, you will be taken to a page where you can review your payment details.  

We recommend taking a moment to look through the details to make sure that you’re satisfied with everything: 

  1. Currencies 
  2. Send rate 
  3. Recipient information 
  4. Timescale (how soon the transfer will be sent)

If you are happy with everything then you can go ahead and confirm and send the money. 

If you’ve decided to send us your money by bank transfer, don’t forget that you’ll need to take steps to send those funds to us

5. Track your transfer as it’s sent to your recipient 

Your job is done! From this point on, we’ll take care of it.  

We’ll send you a confirmation after you’ve initiated your transfer and another once we’ve sent it.
